I absolutely loved this trip. I question the cost of the optional add on hike as it was so expensive per person and there was no permit that was needed for it, so if more people signed up for it, it would have over $800 or so for just 1 guide to do this hike. Anyway, otherwise the only thing that I wish was provided was lunch since it would have been nice to have sandwiches for the long hikes. I loved this group and they felt like family. Brian was an amazing host and took incredible care of us. The camp sight was clean, well maintained and the food was yummy. LOVED THE BURGERS! Sarah was our other guide and she was a WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE OMG! I honestly can't wait for next year and booking 2-3 more trips with you guys!

To provide some context on the optional Cloud’s Rest hike, comparable private guided hikes from most Yosemite guiding companies typically cost $800–$1,000 for small groups, or $200–$345+ per person with larger groups. At $175 per person, we offer this challenging, full-day guided experience at a significantly reduced rate for our weekend trip participants to make this bucket list destination more accessible. If you were to book this trip solo, it would be much more! While no individual day-hiking permit is required, professional guiding involves commercial operating expenses payable to Yosemite National Park, insurance, and, importantly, fair compensation for our experienced guides.
Regarding lunches, we intentionally keep these self-provided to help make our weekend adventures more affordable and allow our guides to focus on delivering a great experience rather than additional meal preparation and logistics. We do offer packed lunches as an upgrade for our private day hikes, so that's always an option for future adventures!
We're especially happy to hear that the group felt like family. That's exactly the experience we hope to create, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more adventures next year!
